Position Objective

Under general direction of the Senior Manager of Customer Experience, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for assisting in various activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, and reporting. This position will be a centerpiece between the business intelligence data warehouse capability and other functional areas of the business such as Sales, Operations, and Marketing.

  Specific Accountabilities/Essential Functions of Position

  • Conceptualize, design and support the implementation of analytics and reports utilizing a variety of data tools
  • Leverage advanced software functionality to create user guided dashboards
  • Develop and deliver reporting and analysis utilizing the Microsoft BI Stack and Power BI to deliver valuable business information directly to end users
  • Extract, combine, and filter data sets from data warehouse as well as utilizing external data sources by blending data, according to internal client specifications
  • Develop and create solutions for dashboards, scorecards, reports, queries, and decision support
  • Work with the team and internal departments to ensure that data quality around business decisions is maintained
  • Prepare accurate and timely business related analyses, research, and forecasts
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

 

Job Qualifications 

  •  Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
  •  Ability to understand and process data in a holistic fashion and present analysis simply and visually
  •  Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
  •  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management
  •  Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
  •  Strong presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  •  Understanding of data manipulation, data mining, and statistical analysis tools and concepts
  •  Certifications and/or degrees in Business Intelligence or Analytics highly desired
  •  MLM experience desired
